Syfy campaign wins Media Plan of the year

The innovative White Rabbit effort for Syfy’s “Alice” has won both MEDIAWEEK’s 2010 Media Plan of the Year in the “Less Than $1 Million, Out of Home Focus” category as well as the coveted “People’s Choice Award” voted on by industry peers.

Hired by Fallon, Klip shot, created and projected the White Rabbit on three buildings in New York City. The campaign included interactive web banners and costumed rabbits roaming city streets and landmarks.

Klip wins Best of Show at Addy Awards

At the 2010 Philly Addy Awards on March 11th, Klip Collective landed “Best of Non-traditional” as well as “Best of Show” for its Syfy “Alice” video projections. The project, conceived by Fallon Minneapolis, was executed along with Egwrk and Moschini Productions in New York City in December 2009.

Motoblur Hotel

For the first two weeks in February, Klip was in Miami Beach during the Super Bowl creating the above installation for Motorola. This spot is the product of lots of sweat and blood after a location change 6 days before project launch. We were on a plane to Florida with no idea where we were projecting, but thanks to a top-notch local production team led by Jennifer Friedman and the hard work of our Installation Designer, Josh James, we got a better location and therefore, a better installation.

We also worked with Bill from Egwrk, our programming genius, and were hired by Anomaly out of New York.

Klip works with Fallon on SyFy campaign

In December 2009, Alice’s White Rabbit stormed New York City on city streets, in popular websites like YouTube and Twitter, and on building facades at night. Hired by Fallon in Minneapolis to develop the Alice Campaign for the SyFy Channel, Klip transported the White Rabbit character from the TV screen to digital form. Shot on green screen in Klip’s studio in Philadelphia, the White Rabbit became a leaping, stomping banner ad and multi-story video projection. Coupled with costumed characters roaming the city and an active Twitter feed, the Alice Campaign garnered record-breaking click-throughs and Internet buzz.

As promised, here is the documentation of Klip Collective’s video installation at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. As you’ll see in the video, we used video mapping technology to transform a foam mold of the 2011 M into a moving, 3D illusion. Enjoy!
